Trip Overview

Dolpo Salt Trade Route Trek – Jomsom To Juphal is a long trek and shows us the most beautiful and remote areas of the country. Jomsom-Juphal trek is recommended to expert trekkers who are used to trek to great heights. This trek crosses many mountain passes, seven of them higher than 4500 m. Thus Dolpo Salt Trade Route Trek is a difficult route compensated however by the beauty of the countryside and the kindness of the people. This trekking tour is undoubtedly one of the best that can be carried out in the whole of the Himalayas. The shining Ringmo Lake, with its unearthly turquoise blue water, makes a trip to this region an unforgettable experience.

We start our trek from Jomsom, after a 15-minute excellent mountain flight from Pokhara. The route goes through the high and remote alpine area & passes and finally comes to Do Tarap, the beautiful village of this region. Trek towards Charkha, probably the most beautiful village of high altitude. Then we will trek towards She Ghompa and beautiful Shey Phoksundo Lake (3600m). From here we will trek to Juphal where we catch our flight back to Kathmandu. Clients carry only a daypack and walk at their own pace.

Client's Reviews

Nepal is a nation between India and Tibet known for its temples and Himalayan mountains, which include Mt. Everest. Kathmandu, the capital, has a mazelike old quarter filled with Hindu and Buddhist shrines.

We did the 12-day itinerary trekking to Everest Base Camp. We booked it all from England and communicated with the owner Hari via email. Such a nice family that owns and runs this business. Very friendly and welcoming. We had loads of cups of tea with them in their shop in Thamel before and after our trek.
