The trek to Green Lakes, the base camp of Mount Kanchenjunga on the Zemu glacier is a beautiful trekking trail in Sikkim. Green Lakes doesn’t mean there is a lake, but one will see an unbelievable stretch of the green frozen glacier, which is known by the name Zemu Glacier. In the view of Mt. Sinolchu (6887m), there is no other mountain that can equal Sinolchu in beauty and boldness. As mentioned by Doglas Fresh field, who had seen many mountains on earth. We did the 12-day itinerary trekking to Everest Base Camp. We booked it all from England and communicated with the owner Hari via email. Such a nice family that owns and runs this business. Very friendly and welcoming. We had loads of cups of tea with them in their shop in Thamel before and after our trek.
