Trip Overview

The sacred peak of Mount Kailash (6,658 m/21,838 ft) is the final destination for many travelers to Tibet, ranging from tourists to Buddhist pilgrims and other followers of spiritual traditions from far and beyond. From the slopes of Mount Kailash flow four of the world’s great rivers – the Indus, Brahmaputra, Karnali and Ganges; embodying its reputation as the ‘heart of the world’.
Starting our overland journey from Kathmandu, The only Himalayan Hindu Kingdom of the world, we will then cross the border and drive towards Nylam where we spend our first night. The road to the sacred mountain is long and at times arduous, but the breathtaking views of the snow-capped peak, as well as the uninterrupted view of the Himalayas and rural Tibetan villages are certain to make the journey an unforgettable one. After exploring the lake and surrounding area we will follow the 3-day pigrimage trail around the holy mountain to complete an once-in-a-lifetime kora or parikrama. Afterwards, driver back to Kathmandu.

Client's Reviews

Nepal is a nation between India and Tibet known for its temples and Himalayan mountains, which include Mt. Everest. Kathmandu, the capital, has a mazelike old quarter filled with Hindu and Buddhist shrines.

We did the 12-day itinerary trekking to Everest Base Camp. We booked it all from England and communicated with the owner Hari via email. Such a nice family that owns and runs this business. Very friendly and welcoming. We had loads of cups of tea with them in their shop in Thamel before and after our trek.
